I don’t like this initiative place that Erin has been staying at, it seems so dangerous for someone so young to be going to but that wasn’t what freaked me out the most. When we walked in all of the demons started freaking out yelling slayer and trying to get at us, but Buffy wasn’t there.
The woman Maggie assumed that I was the slayer but that is impossible, couldn’t tell her why but me being a demon I cant be a slayer…and Buffy cant be dead.
When Erin and I left we headed home, I talked to her about getting back to school and she told me how she met a guy, Oz’s cousin Jordy actually. He’s a pretty cool kid, met him a few times.
After Erin fell asleep during our movie I left and went for a walk when I head “Slayer” being growled from behind me then got jumped and thrown to the ground, in response fire shot out my hands and dusted him. I sat there in shock a moment then hurried off to Buff’s needing answer’s but no one answered so I just went home and sat on the couch all night just thinking.
After dropping Erin off at school the next morning I walked into the library looking for Mr. Giles but found a lady there instead “Where’s Mr. Giles???”
“he doesn’t work here any longer, may I he-”
I cut her off “address…do you have his??”
“I’m sorry miss but that is confidential”
I growled at her annoyed then hurried off back to my car and back home where I sat on my computer and broke into the schools system.
“What’s his name…um.. Robert? No.. Rudolf? No… Rup...Rupert! Ha! Bingo” I said to myself as I typed it in and it all came up.
I wrote it down then hurried off to his house, parked and went to the door knocking.
“Mr. Giles?? Its Ariel Morgan…you know me from the school. I really need to talk to you” I called through the door almost begging.

'Um... I'm sure they told you I no longer work at the school, didn't they, Miss Morgan?' I asked, when I opened the door. I saw the panicked, bedraggled girl standing there. 'Would you mind holding out your hand, for a moment?' I asked her. 'Before I invite you in.'

"yes she told me and wouldnt give me your address" i sghed

Regular, if rapid, pulse. That was good, and entirely consistent with her apparent state of mind. 'Come inside,' I told her after letting her hand drop. 'Tea?'
'And since you knew I didn't work at the school, what do you think I can help you with?' I asked her. 'And how did
you find me, if they wouldn't give you my address?'

"no thank you" i said as i entered
"i uh" rubbed the back of my neck "kinda broke into the school files to find it..its not as hard as one would think" no im just really smart and belong in harvard if i didnt get forced to stay here..
"Buffy...have you seen her? i need to talk to her badly and i know you always see her being her watcher and all"

'I beg your pardon?' I asked, taken aback when Miss Morgan mentioned the word "Watcher." I chose to ignore that part of her comment entirely, for the present.
'I'm sorry,' I told her, my voice more modulated, 'I'm afraid you've gone to a lot of effort for... I'm surprised you didn't hear the news. Buffy Summers died, Miss Morgan.'

I loked to him quickly, i had been so wrapped in my mothers death i didnt even hear about Buffy's
"how" i said softly "Vampire?" made sense

'I - ah - really don't feel comfortable discussing it, Miss Morgan. If there's something I can help you with, please let me know. Otherwise...' my voice trailed off. I no longer wanted the tea cooling in my hand. I wanted a drink, or several of them.

"well you can...can demons be slayers? its totally and completely impossible...right?"
Fri, Feb. 20th, 2004 12:25 am (UTC)
I sighed. 'I banished the word "impossible" from my vocabulary a very long time ago,' I said, wondering how the mysterious Miss Morgan seemed to know so very much about Watchers and Slayers, in general. 'Anything is possible. Some things are just less probable than others. So, although it's a very unlikely probability, I expect it is possible
for a demon to become a Slayer.'

"how do you know when someones a slayer?"
Fri, Feb. 20th, 2004 12:30 am (UTC)
'An increase in speed, strength, reaction time, athletic ability,' I ticked off some of the more common markers. 'Generally an ability to sense the presence of vampires goes along with it, but not always, likewise precognitive dreaming.'
There were also spells and magic that could be used to make the determination, but... I didn't do
magic any more, unless I absolutely had to. the Council usually kept tabs on such things with their own pet seers, and so forth.

"oh..." crap crap crap, no! this snt happening!
"okay well thats good to know..." i said softly
"Im sorry for your lose, can imagine how hard it must be..."

"oh... okay well thats good to know..."
'Is there any particular
reason you're curious?' I asked. So much prior knowledge -- Watchers, Slayers -- and so many questions about the latter. Why? I asked myself again."I'm sorry for your lose, can imagine how hard it must be..."
'Thank you, I... wasn't there a Mrs. Morgan who died recently?' I saw the notice in the newspaper, next to Buffy's obituary. Sunnydale had quite a large obituary column, by necessity.

"n..no just wondering off hand things you know? never know when it could come in handy or something"
'Were you a friend of Buffy's?' I asked. 'It just seems a rather... unusual topic to be curious about, that's all.'"Yeah..my mom died a bit ago"
'I am sorry,' I said, sincerely. 'I guess you do know what it's like.'
