I don’t like this initiative place that Erin has been staying at, it seems so dangerous for someone so young to be going to but that wasn’t what freaked me out the most. When we walked in all of the demons started freaking out yelling slayer and trying to get at us, but Buffy wasn’t there.

The woman Maggie assumed that I was the slayer but that is impossible, couldn’t tell her why but me being a demon I cant be a slayer…and Buffy cant be dead.
When Erin and I left we headed home, I talked to her about getting back to school and she told me how she met a guy, Oz’s cousin Jordy actually. He’s a pretty cool kid, met him a few times.

After Erin fell asleep during our movie I left and went for a walk when I head “Slayer” being growled from behind me then got jumped and thrown to the ground, in response fire shot out my hands and dusted him. I sat there in shock a moment then hurried off to Buff’s needing answer’s but no one answered so I just went home and sat on the couch all night just thinking.

After dropping Erin off at school the next morning I walked into the library looking for Mr. Giles but found a lady there instead “Where’s Mr. Giles???”
“he doesn’t work here any longer, may I he-”
I cut her off “address…do you have his??”
“I’m sorry miss but that is confidential”
I growled at her annoyed then hurried off back to my car and back home where I sat on my computer and broke into the schools system.
“What’s his name…um.. Robert? No.. Rudolf? No… Rup...Rupert! Ha! Bingo” I said to myself as I typed it in and it all came up.
I wrote it down then hurried off to his house, parked and went to the door knocking.
“Mr. Giles?? Its Ariel Morgan…you know me from the school. I really need to talk to you” I called through the door almost begging.

'We could start right now, if you'd like,' I suggested. 'Otherwise, how does tomorrow morning sound? I have my good weapons in a trunk, upstairs. The everyday weapons are down here. '

'No, no, mustn't have that,' I agreed when Ariel spoke about her sister, walking over to the trunk that I hadn't moved from beside my bookcase in quite some time (since I decided that the library wasn't the safest place for any of them).

'This is a crossbow,' I told Ariel. 'It has a harder draw than etiher a simple or a compound bow, which is why it has a footstrap. You drop the bolt in like so...' I demonstrated. 'Put your foot through the strap, and arm it. Then when you sight the target you simply pull the trigger and...'

I'd forgotten that one had a hair trigger. 'Hopefully kill something more dangerous than a table lamp with it,' I concluded.

'If we're going to practise archery, I'll have to find a venue for us to do it. This apartment is clearly not it. I believe there might be a firing range at one of the gun shops just outside town.'

"lemme try?"

I opened the door and faced out it, armed it without using the foot strap and shot hitting the tree dead on, its a far away tree so i did good

"i do it right?" i turned to him

rgiles_watching: Re:

'Um, er, yes... that was correct,' I said. 'However, doing it outside, in public might draw a bit too much attention to oneself. In future, I think we ought to find somewhere a bit more.... secluded if you feel the need to practice.'

'If you don't mind my asking,' I said. 'Just how strong were you before you became the Slayer?'

sweet_ariel: Re:

"well doing it outside didnt break another lamp"

i grinned slightly then handed it back to him

"uh...never thought about it... i flipped a car when i was thirteen..."

i saw the look on his face

"the guy was so asking for it, broke my moms heart so i broke his car" nodded

rgiles_watching: Re:

"well doing it outside didnt break another lamp"

'Granted,' I said, and almost laughed. 'But I would dearly dislike drawing the attention of the authorities to ourselves,' I explained.

"uh...never thought about it... i flipped a car when i was thirteen... the guy was so asking for it, broke my moms heart so i broke his car"

I cleared my throat. 'I see,' I said, nodding meaningfully. 'I'd like to find out precisely how strong you are now, how fast, and so forth, if it can be arranged. But at present, I think it's probably safe to say that you're probably quite a bit stronger than the average Slayer.'

'I'm going to have to do some revising, though. It's been a while since I've run across any references to Kangir demons. You tend to keep to yourselves and stay out of trouble for the most part, I believe, so you don't really attract the attention of the Watchers' Council very often.'

"how do we test all that?"

I sat down on a chair facing him

"cept when we blow something up, then everyone cares right?"

rgiles_watching: Re:

"how do we test all that?"

'Well, I think it's fairly safe to say that your reaction time is good,' I said, thinking ruefully of the paperweight experiment which had, fortunately, turned out for the best. 'Your speed would be relatively simply... maybe the school track at night when no one is there, or over the weekeend.'

'Your strength, well, I can't have you trying to bench press a car, now can I?' I chuckled. 'I'll have to think on that. I think we'd cause quite a stir in a weight room anywhere if there was anyone else present who didn't know about Slayers.'

"cept when we blow something up, then everyone cares right?"

'You... er... weren't planning on doing that any time soon, were you?' I asked just to be certain. 'Did you happen to have done some time in the past?' I tried to keep my voice friendly and equitable, but I can't say I wasn't just a trifle disturbed by Ariel's question.

'You did get over that... little phase, though, didn't you?' I hoped I still sounded cheerful. 'Um... mostly by accident?' I asked.

'You... will let me know if you start getting close to that point, won't you?' I asked. And I thought Buffy had a temper! 'I don't want my flat going to blazes because I make you angry... I don't expect that would look too good in anyone's report on me.'

'You mean Ethan?' I asked hesitantly. 'Well, let's hope he can't create too much Chaos... as long as he's working for the Council, at any rate.'

That was a bit of a turn-up, but I could easily see Travers eagerly hiring someone who would be utterly eager to get me back in the Council's bad books, as soon as I was back in their books at all.

I breathed a hearty sigh of relief. 'You said you have some experience with a sword,' I said, drawing out several of the nicer ones from the ordinary weapons trunk, still in their scabbards, ones that I thought would be balanced well for someone of Ariel's size.

'And this,' I said, 'Is a battle axe. The stroke is heavier than a sword, you can put more force into it -- but it's slower. There are times, however, it can serve well. Things with very tough hides, for example?'

sweet_ariel: Re:

"oOo" i said as he brought out the swords, i took one and carefully brought it out of its holder, love swords.

"Mind if i try it out?" i noted his living room where these was an open space and nothing to hit

'Please, feel free,' I replied. I was eager to see how she handled herself. If she was half as skilled as she was enthusiastic, she would be doing quite well indeed.
